Halloween Rocks with Friday Night Laser Shows

Halloween Rocks at Catawba Science Center (CSC) in Hickory with music and laser light shows every Friday night in October.

CSC’s Science After Dark series presents Halloween themed laser shows – Fright Light and Laser X – on the dome in Millholland Planetarium on Fridays, starting Oct. 7.

Fright Light features spooky favorites from Alice Cooper, Warren Zevon, Michael Jackson, The Who, Prodigy and more. Shows are at 7 p.m. Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28.

Laser X offers an alternative collection of music with songs from Smashing Pumpkins, White Zombie, Foo Fighters and more. Laser X shows follow Fright Light at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28.

Tickets for Halloween Rocks are $5 per show for CSC members and $8 per show for nonmembers. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Call (828) 322-8169 to reserve seats today.

Science After Dark, a series of social, thought-provoking and curiosity-satisfying programs for adults, is sponsored byFocus Newspaper, 95.7 The Ride and The Best of Beers, LLC in Hickory.

Upcoming programs include themed laser show months: Hard Rock (January) and Retro (April), as well as Science Cafes and workshops at CSC.
